New Year, New Challenge

Hey Bombshell!

This post is about experimentation (not the kind you do in college)! As a biotechnology student, science is clearly something I’m interested in or I wouldn’t spend hours every week pouring over textbooks. This post is about experimenting with nutrition to gain insight into your own limits and strengths.

For those of you who haven’t heard of her, Cassey Ho is an internet-born celebrity personal trainer/health coach and creator of Blogilates, Popflex clothing line, PopPilates, and more. She recently made her 28-day Reset available to the public for FREE!  Her workouts have given me the booty I’ve always dreamed of and always help me de-stress after a long day at school. I honestly can’t write enough about her, seriously check her out, you won’t be sorry!

ANYWAYS! Enough with the fan-girling (Cassey, if you ever read this THANK YOU!)

Something she mentioned in a recent video really resonated with me. In her talk about the 28-day Reset, she said “use your body as a lab” to figure out what makes you bloated, irritable, gives you acne, etc. I LOVE this idea. Everybody is different so until you actually try cutting out gluten, dairy, etc. how are you supposed to know if it really is bad for you? Maybe your body is perfectly able to process these things but if it isn’t, that could be the thing causing you acne, bloat, and more! The sooner you find out the sooner you can fix the problem.

WHO DOESN’T WANT NICER SKIN AND A FLAT TUMMY??

I missed the start of the challenge (Jan 2) but am starting Monday January 9th. So, what does the 28-day Reset entail? I will cut out gluten, dairy (which I already know makes me break out anyways), processed foods, added sugar and alcohol.

In one of my previous posts, I talked about self-care. Honestly, the best gift you can give yourself is the knowledge of what makes your body work at its best. So this 2017, I’m going to challenge myself to learn about my body and it’s limits starting with the 28-day Reset.

THIS IS NOT A DIET

I can’t stress that enough. Though weight loss may be a side-effect of eating a cleaner diet, I’m not cutting calories or working out any more than I usually do. The goal here isn’t vanity, it’s knowledge! I will be posting periodically about my results and the process. Follow along and try it yourself!

Take care!
Love, Bombshell Box
